Just when it looked as though the fuss over Facebook’s early days might be about to die down, the long-running legal soap opera over the rightful ownership of the online social network has sprung another surprise. On April 11, Paul Ceglia — who last year filed a lawsuit claiming entitlement to half of the stake held by Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s youthful cofounder — submitted an amended complaint complete with email messages that he claimed would support his case for a share in the company.

Angry Birds, that highly addictive game from Finnish company Rovio, is coming to Facebook next month. So far, 1,3 million Facebook users have clicked the like button on the game’s official Facebook page, which promised updates on the social network’s version of the game.

According to an investigative report published by the Financial Times, Facebook was seriously considering purchasing Twitter, its main social networking rival.
Google has shut down automatic access to its Gmail contacts and other information to companies like Facebook. Only companies who share data back can access it.
After facing much criticism over privacy concerns, Facebook is beefing up how users can control their information. It’s not just desktops though, as the world’s largest social network is bringing privacy controls to your handset.

More than 400 million active users spend a total of more than 16 billion minutes on social networking site Facebook per day, says Facebook VP of Technical Operations Jonathan Heiliger. Heiliger was giving a presentation on the infrastructure of one of the world’s most trafficked sites at the Velocity 2010 conference last week when he revealed the figures.
The Facebook has defeated 999 other web-related opponents on Google’s list of top 1,000 sites. In the midst of all this success, Facebook’s co-founder Mark Zuckerberg says he’s «not making decisions to maximize the amount of money» that he’s making and that one of the most transformative things to build in the world is «something that helps people share information and stay connected.”
